I think probably our latest design we are working on at GB pounds £4.4M pretty much gets to # 1. We also made the luxury games at Zontic and the Cluedo at Dunhill. We have also made a £500,000 Monopoly and a quarter odf a million pound Backgammon for a private jet. The professional players, at least in Japan, would think that as uncool.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-72919138702414618852008-09-11T18:00:00.000+03:002008-09-11T18:00:00.000+03:00MOST EXPENSIVE MONOPOLY SETTHE LONGEST LIST OF THE...MOST EXPENSIVE MONOPOLY SET
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What is the most expensive monopoly set in the world?

Sidney Mobell, a jeweler from San Francisco put together a Monopoly set in 1988.

The houses and hotels were solid gold, the pips in the dice were diamonds. Serious go players like boards from a solid piece of Kaya wood so that it gives the proper click when smacked with the go stones (made of slate and clam shell). Since Kaya is very expensive there are some other species that are commonly used, but it's always a solid piece of wood. I'm not sure, but my guess is that layers of bamboo would give a rather unsatisfactory result. I can't find anything for sale on the Internet in English, but according to Sensei's Library a genuine Kaya board with attached legs costs from $2,000 to $25,000.

I wonder what the most expensive board games in the world are whose expensiveness is *not* a result of their components (i.e., they have basically the same types of components that you find in the regular games we play).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-79195067247169777472007-03-16T08:47:00.000+02:002007-03-16T08:47:00.000+02:00Thank you, easterangel.YehudaThank you, easterangel.

YehudaYehuda Berlingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16038826060312027387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-40026763438736320302007-03-16T02:53:00.000+02:002007-03-16T02:53:00.000+02:00I award this as the "Post of the Day" on my daily ...I award this as the "Post of the Day" on my daily "Post Awards" blog!

This is a superb post!
