I hadn't heard about an Al-Rassan movie - maybe I'll have to re-read that one soon!Gabehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01182581610498044024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-61849429487054887592008-02-21T23:38:00.000+02:002008-02-21T23:38:00.000+02:00"Ysabel" - sounds like the next title from Ystari..."Ysabel" - sounds like the next title from Ystari Games! :)meowsqueakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10559964541118532157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-2222981789105776382008-02-21T21:55:00.000+02:002008-02-21T21:55:00.000+02:00From his web site it looks like it is in the "opti...From his web site it looks like it is in the "option" stage. Last Light of the Sun is also being adapted for "the screen" by GGK himself. And I think the other was a comment.

YehudaYehuda Berlingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16038826060312027387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-16239882513372690562008-02-21T20:54:00.000+02:002008-02-21T20:54:00.000+02:00Coincidentally, I'm reading Ysabel right now. I also enjoyed The Last Light of the Sun.

Did he say anything about the Al-Rassan movie? IMDB lists it coming in 2008 but that's all I can see about it.Clay B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08652246190695262025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-28395920473175799582008-02-21T12:44:00.000+02:002008-02-21T12:44:00.000+02:00I started with Song of Arbonne and then Tigana. I'm glad because I don't think Guy had developed his full strength as a writer yet by Fionavar.

I missed Sarantine, but want to pick it up.Yehuda Berlingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16038826060312027387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9319479.post-74932697252184574632008-02-21T12:33:00.000+02:002008-02-21T12:33:00.000+02:00Have you read the Sarantine Mosaic? Particularly the beginning of the second part, Lord of Emperors, where Kay spent, what, 200 pages going back and forward, explaining what the different characters did on that one crucial day. Amazing!

He's also one of the most steady authors I've read, all his work has so far been worth reading, especially his historical fiction (Fionavar is good, but I prefer Kay's other, less Tolkienesque work).Mikkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17417932766922859887noreply@blogger.com
