In addition to the board game reuse project at Crafter which I previously referenced, someone made their own awesome 3D version of Settlers of Catan.
Carcassonne Online for the XBox now has an expansion that does not exist in cardboard format: Kings and Barons.
The Vancouver chapter of the IGDA is running a competition for creating a board game based on one of the video games: River City Ransom, Bomberman, Gradius, or Legend of Zelda. According to Trigger Happy, details are on the Vancouver's IGDA site, but I couldn't find them.

PX3 and PX3 Junior are board games that teach about disaster preparedness. As usual, a board game devoted to the subject is probably not as effective as any number of games that simply have future planning built into the mechanics, but there you go.
In Israel, more and more game clubs are sprouting up. The Beit Shemesh group which spun off of my own club hosted its first Games Day this Sukkot. Read the session report.

I'm fairly certain that this is a different expansion from the description.

K&S had stuff for both Hunters & Gatherers, and for regular Carc. This sounds exactly like the King expansion. There is a King, a robber Baron, and 5 new tiles.
