Before reviewing Nile, try the game with just two players. Remember to remove some of the cards, and it's a nice little 10-15 minute game. I quite like it, but I'm not sure I even want to try the five-player game.
Did you sleeve the cards? My copy started to fall apart when I was shuffling the cards for the first time - I wonder if I just got a bad copy or is the card quality generally that bad.

Yes, the card quality was bad, and that was immediately obvious.
I will try two players. I have this nagging feeling that I'm missing something with the game, still.
Are you allowed to look at your point pile whenever you want? Or do you have to remember what's in it?
You can look at your points pile, and you can use those cards with your hand cards for trading.
