Mary is also the founder of Chitag, the Chicago Area Toy and Game fair, which she designed to be an American version of Essen, the granddaddy of toy and game fairs in Germany. This year's Chitag will be held from November 16th – 18th, 2007.
She is also working with the City of Chicago to implement "Games for Guests". Here is her press release:
Chicago Hotels Got Game!Yehuda
Games that is. Chi-Tag 2007 (The Chicago International Toy and Game Fair, www.chitag.com ) and the City of Chicago have partnered to create "Games for Guests", a city-wide program in cooperation with participating city hotels to offer games to their guests over the summer to play within the comfort of their own hotel room, for fun at the hotel bar and to pass the time in the lobby. From classic "evergreens" to European strategy games, from party games to educational family/kid games, from trivia to puzzles to card games, Chicago this summer is all about play!
Tourists from abroad as well as Chicago's own backyard will know something is different about Chicago sightseeing this summer when they check into their hotel. Each guest will receive a list of games available for them to "check out" at their leisure. No more worrying how to pass the time with the family in your hotel room...order up a game! No more wondering what the kids will do while you and your spouse go out to that adult dinner...get them some games for the evening and call up room service! No more boring evenings at the hotel bar watching the television... check out a party game to serve some laughs with that cocktail! Instead of all work and no play, order a game for you and your fellow employees to enjoy and celebrate after losing that big deal at the power-dinner meeting with your top clients!
To date, over twenty Chicago hotels are on board for "Games for Guests" and dozens of game companies are participating. Games for Guests is part of a citywide summer long celebration of toys, games and the spirit of play titled The Art of Play. Over 150 events are planned and are international in scope.
The Chicago International Toy and Game Fair (Chi-Tag) is the only non-hobby toy and game show in the Western Hemisphere designed for and open to the public. It provides the opportunity to look at, play with, and purchase toys and games directly from manufacturers and meet toy and game inventors from all over the world.
If you want to learn more about "Games for Guests", The Art of Play and/or Chi-Tag 2007 please contact Mary Couzin or Aaron Gessner, 847-677-8277, MCouzin@chitag.com or AGessner@chitag.com.
Get in the game!

When in Chicago I always stay at the Congress Plaza (http://www.reservediscountrooms.com/chicago-il/congress-plaza-hotel.html) because my cousin bartends in the lobby. Will the Congress be featuring the "Games for Guests"? that would be awesome!
greetings!
unfortunately, i have not recieved an inquiry of participation from the Congress hotel.
